Robert Miles – Manager and Owner
Hi everyone, my name is Robert Miles, proud owner and manager of Six Seasons Connect – Online Services
From the outset of starting this business I was always drawn to connecting people to resources, services and programs from an early age. I guess it started from my early days in the training sector where I connected and supported Indigenous people to adult learning programs and certificate training courses in TAFE (Tertiary And Further Education).
As a Program Officer in the health sector I developed frameworks to help Aboriginal people to better connect with services and resources, including a State-wide Aboriginal Men’s Health Program.
In the community services sector I worked as a Coordinator, connecting young Indigenous people and their families to locally funded programs and services, including holiday and after-school programs as well as a range of life-skills and cultural programs.
Whilst in the Aged Care Sector I worked with regional communities to facilitate better awareness, service provision and access to aged care and disability services programs for Indigenous people and their families.
So what the heck? Why can’t all this connecting, facilitating, brokering and linking become a business? I think its in my blood, fate and other forces have brought me to this point – so why not give it a go?
So in 2015 I took the first step towards building a business entity that I knew that I can do. I knew that I was good at connecting people and linking people to services and resources. I knew that I had to develop a brand and business model that reflected a lot of my own values as a person as well as connecting to other likeminded people who share a need to be listen to and to be heard.
With that, I give you Six Seasons Connect – Online Services ‘ connecting individual choice and representations with Indigenous enterprise and possibilities’
All the best
